Who is Jason?
Jason grew up in the Salt Lake Valley of Utah. He excelled at soccer, and had a desire to pursue medicine after high school. That all changed in August of 1998 when he began working in broadcast news as a video editor. Film and television would become his ultimate career pursuit.
After studying film at Brigham Young University, he was offered his first on-set job as a production assistant for the CBS Television show "Touched By an Angel." Since his first days on set in March of 2001, Jason has honed his craft and developed a reputation as a filmmaker who is passionate about the process, and delivers exceptional work.

Career
Early work
From his earliest days studying film at Brigham Young University, the goal was always to direct and produce. Allred's practical understanding of the networking nature of filmmaking led him to seek a ground up approach. Landing a job as a production assistant on the 2nd Unit for "Touched By An Angel" opened doors that continue to be open to this day. From those early days on set, an understanding of the way a film set should run began to form. The jobs that followed - PA on BENJI: OFF THE LEASH, PA on NATIONAL TREASURE (Utah Unit), 2nd 2nd Assistant Director on SAINTS AND SOLDIERS, continued and solidified his production education.
Breakthrough
A true "breakthrough" never happened, it has just been a steady climb. Further jobs working as an assistant director on films with Jared Hess, Danny Boyle, Ryan Little, Bryce Clark and many others have allowed. Now, Allred, works mainly as a 1st AD, Director or Producer.
"I have worked with Jason for over a dacade and his on-set leadership has been critical to our success. Without fail, he has always brought us in on budget ad on schedule. Jason is professional, creative, easy to work with and always helps us to solve even the most difficult of production problems. He is a strong leader and would make a great member of your team and I highly recommend him."

PRODUCTION PHILOSPHY
At the end of the day, it is not just the quality of the project that matters, it is the quality of the experience that everyone - director, producer, actor, crew member, extra, etc - has on my sets. Everyone working on a film project is vital to it's success. There are no inconsequential roles.
